Reference Exposure Levels (RELs) for 1,4-Dichlorobenzene
The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is announcing the availability of a draft document for public review summarizing the noncancer reference exposure levels (RELs) for 1,4-Dichlorobenzene, as part of the Air Toxics Hot Spots program. OEHHA is also anouncing a comment period that will open November 29, 2024 and will close January 13, 2025.

Draft Document Summarizing the Toxicity and Derivation of Reference Exposure Levels (RELs) for Toluene
The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is releasing a draft document summarizing the toxicity and derivation of Reference Exposure Levels (RELs) for Toluene.  This document will be reviewed and discussed by the Scientific Review Panel on Toxic Air Contaminants (SRP) at its meeting on June 28, 2019 in Sacramento, CA.  RELs are airborne concentrations of a chemical that are not anticipated to result in adverse noncancer health effects for specified exposure durations in the general population, including sensitive subpopulations.

OEHHA Synthetic Turf Scientific Advisory Panel Meeting

Announcement of First Public Comment Period for the Draft Technical Support Document on the Proposed Update of the Public Health Goal for 1,2-Dibromo-3-Chloropropane
The PHG technical support document, available for download below, provides information on the health effects of contaminants in drinking water.  The PHG is a level of drinking water contaminant at which adverse health effects are not expected to occur from a lifetime of exposure.

Proposed Adoption of New Chapter and Section Chapter 3: Naturally Occurring Lead in Candy Section 28500: Naturally Occurring Levels of Lead in Candy
