OEHHA solicited public comments on the draft document, Air Toxics Hot Spots Program Risk Assessment Guidelines Part II: Technical Support Document for Determining Cancer Potency Factors.

OEHHA has provided a number of comments on the risk characterization methodology and conclusions on the draft RCD for Pentachlorophenol. These comments and our recommendations, as well as suggested clarifications, additions and corrections, are contained in this report.

Extension of Comment Period - Request for Information, 46 Chemicals Under Consideration for Possible Listing Via The Authoritative Bodies Mechanisms: Extension of Public Comment Period

Chemicals listed effective October 24, 1997 as known to the State to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity by the State's Qualified Experts: 2,4,5-trimethylaniline and its strong acid salts, 5-chloro-o-toluidine and its strong acid salts, and quinoline and its strong acid salts.

OEHHA announced a public workshop for the draft technical support documents for Public Health Goals for 25 chemicals in drinking water.  The chemicals are: antimony, benzo[a]pyrene, chlordane, cyanide, dalapon, 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, dinoseb, endothall, ethylbenzene, trichlorofluoromethane, trichlorotrifluoroethane, uranium, alachlor, copper, diethylhexylphthalate, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, fluoride, glyphosate, lead, nitrate and nitrite (3 PHG values), oxamyl, pentachlorophenol, picloram, and xylenes.
