OEHHA announces the availability of the amended regulatory text and the supporting rulemaking documents,Title 22, California Code of Regulations, Sections 12705 and 12805.

Amendment to Section 12805. Specific regulatory levels of reproductive toxicants: 2,4-D butyric acid (2,4-DB, 2,4-dichlorophenoxybutyric acid), m-dinitrobenzene, hydramethylnon and N-methylpyrrolidone.

Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment proposes to establish specific regulatory levels posing no significant risk for benz[a]anthracene, benzene, benzo[b]fluoranthene, benzo[j]fluoranthene, bromoform, chrysene, 7H-dibenzo[c,g]carbazole, dibenzo[a,h]pyrene, dibenzo[a,i]pyrene, and 5-methylchrysene and to establish a specific regulatory level representing 1/1000th the observable effect for arsenic.

After a chemical is added to the Proposition 65 list, OEHHA as a general practice will strive to develop and release for public comment a draft safe harbor level within one year of the chemical’s listing.
