Proposal to establish a Maximum Allowable Dose Levels for methanol of 47,000 micrograms per day for inhalation and 23,000 micrograms per day for ingestion.  Concurrently, an interpretive guideline for methanol resulting from pectin that occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables is being published.

OEHHA proposal to establish a Proposition 65 Maximum Allowable Dose Level (MADL) for sulfur dioxide (SO2) of 220 micrograms per day

Proposal to adopt a Proposition 65 Maximum Allowable Dose Level (MADL) of 1,200 micrograms per day for oral exposures to butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)

Proposal to adopt Proposition 65 Maximum Allowable Dose Levels (MADLs) for hydrogen cyanide (HCN) and cyanide salts (CN salts). The proposed oral MADL for HCN and CN salts, expressed in terms of cyanide, is 9.8 micrograms per day. For hydrogen cyanide and cyanide salts that dissociate to the cyanide ion, the MADLs are calculated by multiplying the molecular weight of the compound by 0.38.

These amendments would clarify the existing requirements for scientific experts appointed to the committees by the Governor. These amendments will also remove certain portions of Section 25304 that were made redundant when advisory committee members were added to the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment’s (OEHHA) Conflict of Interest Code.

April 14, 2014 public workshop for the purpose of discussing a possible regulatory action to change the existing regulation governing Proposition 65 warnings.  If a regulation is adopted, it would replace the existing OEHHA regulation.

On November 19, 2014, the Office of Administrative Law approved an amendment to Title 27, California Code of Regulations, section 25903, Appendix A. This regulatory amendment provides an update to the existing regulatory summary of Proposition 65 that must be included as an attachment to all notices of violation that are served upon alleged violators of Proposition 65. This amendment also reconciles OEHHA’s regulations with a 2013 amendment to Proposition 65 due to the enactment of AB 227 (Gatto, Chapter 581, Statutes of 2013).

Code of Regulations, section 25903, Appendix A,1 to update the Proposition 65 summary that must be included as an attachment to all Notices of Violation that are served upon alleged violators of Proposition 65. This update would reconcile the regulation with the changes to Proposition 65 made in 2013 by the enactment of Assembly Bill 227 (Gatto, Chapter 581, Statutes of 2013).

Tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TDCPP) was listed effective 10/28/2011 as known to the State to cause cancer.

Additional changes to the proposed regulation and Initial Statement of Reasons to add section 25904 to Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations.  Subsection (e) amended to remove the language which stated that once a chemical no longer meets the requirements for listing, the chemical would remain on the list pending committee review.
