OEHHA will convene a meeting of the Carcinogen Identification Committee for possible listing of N-Methyl-N-Formylhydrazine on November 29, 2024. OEHHA is also opening a 45-day public comment period on the hazard identification document for this chemical.

OEHHA is extending the public comment period by 15 days on the draft technical support document for the proposed Public Health Goal (PHG) for 1,4-dioxane in drinking water. The comment period will now close on November 25, 2025.

OEHHA will convene a meeting of the Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant Identification Committee (DARTIC). At this meeting the DARTIC will consider the possible listing of bisphenol S (BPS) based on developmental toxicity. OEHHA is also opening a 45-day public comment period on the hazard identification document entitled “Evidence on the Developmental Toxicity of Bisphenol S."

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is announcing the availability of a draft document for public review summarizing the noncancer reference exposure levels (RELs) for 1,4-Dichlorobenzene, as part of the Air Toxics Hot Spots program. OEHHA is also anouncing a comment period that will open November 29, 2024 and will close January 13, 2025. 

Effective January 3, 2025, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has added vinyl acetate to the Proposition 65 list as a carcinogen. This listing was done via the “State’s Qualified Experts” mechanism, based on the Carcinogen Identification Committee’s (CIC) determination that this chemical was clearly shown to cause cancer.

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) added the male reproductive toxicity endpoint to the existing Proposition 65 listing of bisphenol S (BPS) for reproductive toxicity via the State's Qualified Experts mechanism, effective January 3, 2025.
