Notice of Adoption to Text of Regulations Title 27, California Code of Regulations Amendment to Section 25705(b) No Significant Risk Level (NSRL) for Ethylbenzene
On March 28, 2008, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking announcing the proposed adoption of the No Significant Risk Level (NSRL) for the chemical ethylbenzene and the amendment to Title 27, California Code of Regulations, Section 25705(b) (27 CCR Section 25705(b) (formerly 22 CCR, Section 12705(b)). A 45 day public comment period was provided commencing from the publication of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on March 28, 2008 until May 12, 2008. The Notice also stated that a public hearing would be held on request. OEHHA received no request for a public hearing and no written comments were received. On February 10, 2009, OEHHA issued a Notice of Addition of Documents and Information to OAL Rulemaking File No Z-08-0318-08 and announced a 15-day public comment period which closed on February 26, 2009. The Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved the adoption of the NSRL for ethylbenzene and the amendment to Title 27, California Code of Regulations, Section 25705(b) on April 7, 2009. The regulation was filed with the Secretary of State on April 7, 2009 and will become effective May 7; 2009.
