Prop 65 was intended to protect the waterways & public from harmful toxins in the environment. The unfortunate truth is it is just another piece of legislation twisted by unscrupulous individuals who extort businesses for a living. If the text is re-written to disincentivize those who would manipulate it to enrich themselves, then maybe it would become what it was intended to be, a safety assurance against actual polluters.
