I would like to add a requirement to list the suspected chemical or toxicant that is warranting the prop 65 warning label. I would also like to know what part of the item has this chemical. Without this information, prop 65 has become a common label that is easily ignored and has not helped consumers make better choices since it is slapped on most items. Knowing what the potential toxicant is and where it’s located (on the packaging material, as part of the item, if it’s only located in one part of the material such as a toy’s plastic feet) can help us make better choices and adds respect to the label. I appreciate the spirit of prop 65 and believe it could serve consumers in making better choices if these additions were added.
