The Center for Environmental Health is requesting that OEHHA “commence the regulatory process to issue regulations pursuant to Health & Safety Code §110552 setting a ‘naturally occurring’ lead level in candy containing chili and tamarind.” A hearing has been scheduled for July 6, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Sierra Hearing Room at the CalEPA Headquarters building at 1001 I Street in Sacramento. Derivation of the public health concentrations (PHC) in water for metolachlor and its environmental degradates metolachlor ethanesulfonic acid (MESA) and metolachlor oxanilic acid (MOXA). The PHCs derived are 1300 parts per billion (ppb) for MESA, 3200 ppb for MOXA, and 7 ppb for metolachlor.
