Impervious surfaces impact the hydrology, water quality and aquatic and riparian habitat within a watershed.  OEHHA has developed impervious surface coefficients useful in stormwater management runoff analyses, in watershed assessment as an indicator of watershed health, and in land use planning to identify areas of higher or lower imperviousness and opportunities to reduce impervious cover.

OEHHA intent to list 4-Methylimidazole (4-MEI) as known to the state to cause cancer.

Comment period on the notice of intent to list the chemical, 4-Methylimidazole (CAS No. 822-36-6) as known to the State to cause cancer.

OEHHA has prioritized chemicals  for consideration under Proposition 65 by the State’s Qualified Experts. OEHHA subjected the chemicals passing the screens to a preliminary toxicological evaluation, as described in the 2004 OEHHA document. As a result of this preliminary evaluation, OEHHA identified the 38 chemicals for possible preparation of hazard identification materials.
