OEHHA has submitted findings on the active ingredient Chlorpyrifos.

The committee considered coumarin for listing as known to the state to cause cancer.

The amendments were approved by the Office of Administrative Law on November 20, 2017 and will become operative on August 30, 2018

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is releasing two draft documents for public review, summarizing the toxicity and derivation of proposed Reference Exposure Levels (RELs) for Hexamethylene Diisocyanate (HDI) and toluene.   RELs are airborne concentrations of a chemical that are not anticipated to result in adverse non–cancer health effects for specified exposure durations in the general population, including sensitive subpopulations.

Amendments were approved and will become operative on August 30, 2018.

These amendments incorporate 2016 amendments to the federal Toxic Substances Control Act and make other non-substantive changes.  

OEHHA has received a request from California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation seeking an extension of the comment period for a SUD for chlorothalonil in certain foods.  OEHHA hereby extends the public comment period until 5 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017 for the materials on chlorothalonil.
