May 19, 2017: Notice of Amendment, BPA Warnings, Title 27, Repeal of Sections 25607.30 and 25607.31

OEHHA is repealing Sections 25607.30 and 25607.31 related to provisions adopted via emergency regulations for warnings for Bisphenol A exposures from canned and bottled foods and beverages, because these sections were superseded by other regulatory provisions.

May 19, 2017: Acceptance of a Request for a Safe Use Determination for Diisononyl Phthalate (DINP) in Interface Glasbac® And Glasbac®Re Modular Carpet Tile and Opportunity for Public Comment

OEHHA has received a request for a Safe Use Determination (SUD) for the use of diisononyl phthalate (DINP) in Interface GlasBac® and GlasBac®RE modular carpet tile, specifically that exposures to DINP in the carpet tile do not present significant cancer risks under Proposition 65, and therefore do not require a warning.  The request is made by Interface, Inc. pursuant to Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations, section 25204(b)(3).

This regulation establishes a MADL of 8,700 (oral) micrograms per day for ethylene glycol (ingested), effective on July 1, 2017.
