Intent to List: Ethylene Glycol - Additional Extension of Comment Period

On April 11, 2014, the California Environmental Protection Agency’s (Cal/EPA) Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) published a notice in the California Regulatory Notice Register (Register 2014, No. 15-Z) announcing its intent to list ethylene glycol as known to the State to cause reproductive toxicity under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.1

On May 9, 2014 OEHHA extended the public comment period to June 11, 2014. OEHHA has since received a request from the PET Resin Association seeking an additional extension of the comment period. OEHHA hereby extends the public comment period until 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2014.

We encourage you to submit comments via e-mail, rather than in paper form. Comments transmitted by e-mail should be addressed to P65Public.Comments@oehha.ca.gov with “NOIL-Ethylene Glycol” in the subject line. Hard copy comments may be mailed, faxed, or delivered in person to the addresses below:
