Extension of Comment Period - Notice of Intent to List Simvastatin

On November 26, 1999, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) published a notice in the California Regulatory Notice Register (Register 99, No. 48-Z) extending the public comment period for the notice of intent to list three chemicals under Proposition 65 in accordance with the regulatory criteria in Sections 12306 and 12902 of Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations. Simvastatin was one of the three chemicals included in the notice. As announced in the November 26, 1999 notice, the public comment period would close on January 28, 2000. OEHHA has received a request from interested parties seeking a further extension of the comment period in order to provide the commenters with an opportunity to fully review OEHHA's recent response to comments previously submitted concerning the administrative listing of simvastatin. OEHHA hereby extends the public comment period for simvastatin to 5 p.m., Monday, February 28, 2000.
