Extension of Comment Period - Intent to List: Atrazine, Propazine, Simazine and their Chlorometabolites DACT, DEA and DIA
On February 7, 2014, the California Environmental Protection Agency’s (Cal/EPA) Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) published a notice in the California Regulatory Notice Register (Register 2014, No. 6-Z) announcing its intent to list atrazine, propazine, simazine and their chlorometabolites DACT, DEA and DIA as known to the State to cause reproductive toxicity under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.1
The February 7 notice initiated a 30‑day public comment period that was scheduled to close on March 10, 2014. OEHHA has received a request from Syngenta Crop Protection, LLC seeking an extension of the comment period. OEHHA hereby extends the public comment period until 5 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2014.
