2nd Extension of Comment Period - Request for Relevant Information on Chemicals being Considered for Listing by the Authoritative Bodies Mechanism: Hydrogen Cyanide and Cyanide Salts

On June 24, 2011, the California Environmental Protection Agency’s (Cal/EPA) Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) published a notice extending the public comment period soliciting information as to whether hydrogen cyanide and cyanide salts meet the authoritative bodies listing criteria set forth in the Proposition 65 regulations in Title 27, Cal. Code of Regulations, section 25306.  The comment period was to close on August 3, 2011.

OEHHA has received an additional request from the CN (Cyanide) Council to extend the public comment period to allow for sufficient time for them to submit relevant scientific information concerning hydrogen cyanide and cyanide salts.  OEHHA hereby extends the written public comment period until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2011.

We encourage you to submit written comments in electronic form, rather than in paper form.  Comments transmitted by e-mail should be addressed to sam.delson@oehha.ca.gov.  Comments submitted in paper form may be mailed, faxed, or delivered in person to the addresses below:
