The Center for Disease Control recognizes the need for additional research, they recommend that pregnant women do not use marijuana. There is some evidence that use during pregnancy causes low birth weight, increases the chances for developmental problems and can result in attention difficulties in children born to mothers that consumed marijuana. Marijuana smoke has many of the same chemicals as those found in tobacco, and we know that isn't good for mothers or children. Without additional research, it is best to err on the side of caution and recommend including cannabis, marijuana smoke, cannabis extracts and THC on Prop. 65 warnings
