Comment Submissions - Announcement of Additional Public Comment Period on Acetaminophen

I do not feel that there is much to suggest an increased risk of carcinogenicity with frequent use of acetaminophen. As an anesthesiologist and Pain Medicine physician I have conducted a limited reading of related medical literature and neither I nor my surgical oncology colleagues have come to the conclusion that acetaminophen poses a significant risk to patients. A recent review (Cancer Causes Control. 2016; 27(12): 1411–1418) does not support a general position that acetaminophen use is associated with carcinogenesis.
