The purpose of this regulation is to provide "safe harbor" no significant risk levels for dichloromethane (methylene chloride) of 200 micrograms per day (inhalation), trichloroethylene 80 micrograms per day (inhalation), 50 micrograms per day (ingestion), and vinyl chloride 3 micrograms per day.
