Notice of Adoption to Text of Regulations, Title 22, California Code of Regulations, Amendment to Section 12705(b): No Significant Risk Level (NSRL) for Nitromethane
On December 7, 2007, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking announcing the proposed adoption of the No Significant Risk Level (NSRL) for the chemical Nitromethane and amend Title 22, California Code of Regulations, Section 12705(b) (22 CCR Section 12705(b)). A 45‑day public comment period was provided commencing from the publication of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on December 7, 2007 until January 22, 2008. The Notice also stated that a public hearing would be held on request. No request for a public hearing was received by OEHHA. No written comments were received by OEHHA. The Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved the adoption of the NSRL for Nitromethane and the amendment to Title 22, California Code of Regulations, Section 12705(b) on March 27, 2008. The regulation was filed with the Secretary of State on March 27, 2008 and will become effective April 28; 2008.
