Extension of Comment Period - Notice of Intent to List Ethylene Glycol
On April 11, 2014, the California Environmental Protection Agency’s (Cal/EPA) Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) published a notice in the California Regulatory Notice Register (Register 2014, No. 15-Z) announcing its intent to list ethylene glycol as known to the State to cause reproductive toxicity under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.1
The April 11 notice initiated a 30‑day public comment period that was scheduled to close on May 12, 2014. OEHHA has received a request from the Ethylene Glycols Panel of the American Chemistry Council seeking an extension of the comment period. OEHHA hereby extends the public comment period until 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014 June 25, 2014.
We encourage you to submit comments via e-mail, rather than in paper form. Comments transmitted by e-mail should be addressed to P65Public.Comments@oehha.ca.gov with “NOIL-Ethylene Glycol” in the subject line. Hard copy comments may be mailed, faxed, or delivered in person to the addresses below:
