Delta, Central and South

Advisory for non-migratory fish based on mercury. Advisory for fish that migrate based on mercury or PCBs. (For information on biotoxins and harmful algal blooms that may be found in California water bodies, see below.)

The Central and South Delta includes all water bodies in the Delta south of Highway 12 (except the Sacramento River and the San Joaquin River south of Stockton). 

Advice for American Shad, Steelhead Trout, Striped Bass, and White Sturgeon is based on the Advisory for Fish that Migrate. These waters are closed to the take of Chinook (King) Salmon. Refer to CDFW for regulations on other species.

NOTE: Asian Clam and crayfish advice was removed while OEHHA evaluates other contaminants in these species that may affect advice.

No one should eat any fish or shellfish from the Port of Stockton.
