Please find attached comments from Michele Marini Pittenger, President, Travel Goods Association (TGA), small, mostly family-owned businesses and our 100,000 American workers that make, market, and sell travel goods – luggage, totes, backpacks, handbags, and other products for people who travel - strongly opposing California’s Office of Environmental Health & Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) proposal to modify the California Proposition 65 (Prop 65) warning labels. TGA opposes the proposal because we believe the proposal would actually make the warning labels less useful to consumers, would impose significant burdens on the small, family-owned companies that comprise our industry, and would further the over-labeling that has already occurred as a result of Prop 65.
