Comment period on the Initiation of PHG reviews for four chemicals: Cis-1,2-Dichloroethylene, Trans-1,2-Dichloroethylene, Hexavalent Chromium and Nickel
The updated PHGs are 0.7 parts per billion (ppb) for carbofuran, 6 ppb for diquat, 0.3 ppb for endrin, 166 ppb for picloram, and 42 ppb for thiobencarb, all based on non-cancer effects.
Includes changes in critical study and endpoint selection, and updated dose-response analysis and exposure estimates. These changes resulted in the revision of the antimony PHG to 1 ppb.
Written comments for the proposed updates of Public Health Goals (PHGs) for carbofuran, diquat, endrin, picloram, and thiobencarb in drinking water must be received by the PHG program by 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2016.
