Development of Interim Advisory Tissue Levels for Common Contaminants in California Sport Fish: Cadmium
OEHHA published Fish Contaminant Goals (FCGs) and Advisory Tissue Levels (ATLs) for seven common fish contaminants (chlordane, DDTs, dieldrin, methylmercury, PCBs, selenium, and toxaphene) in 2008 (OEHHA, 2008), and an FCG and ATLs for polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) in 2011 (OEHHA, 2011). This report extends the process described in those reports to developing Interim ATLs for cadmium, another environmental contaminant that can accumulate in fish and shellfish.
