Announcement of Availability of a Draft Technical Support Document for Proposed Public Health Goals for Trihalomethanes in Drinking Water
OEHHA is announcing the release of a draft document for public review describing proposed Public Health Goals (PHGs) for the four regulated trihalomethanes (THMs) found in drinking water as a result of disinfection methods: chloroform, bromoform, bromodichloromethane and dibromochloromethane.

Notice of Public Hearing and Extension of Public Comment Period on Proposed Amendment to Sections 25821(a) and (c) Level of Exposure to Chemicals Causing Reproductive Toxicity: Calculating Intake by the Average Consumer of a Product
OEHHA is extending the public comment period on this proposed amendment to 5:00 pm, Monday, November 26, 2018 and has scheduled a public hearing on Monday, November 19, 2018.

Announcement of the Carcinogen Identification Committee Meeting Scheduled for November 1, 2018 and Availability of Hazard Identification Materials for N-Nitrosohexamethyleneimine and Gentian Violet
N-Nitrosohexamethyleneimine and gentian violet will be considered for possible listing by the CIC at a public meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 1, 2018.  The meeting will be held in the Sierra Hearing Room at the CalEPA Headquarters building, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, California.  The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will last until all business is conducted or until 5:00 p.m.  The agenda for the meeting will be provided in a future public notice published in advance of the meeting.

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is releasing two draft documents for public review, summarizing the toxicity and derivation of proposed Reference Exposure Levels (RELs) for Hexamethylene Diisocyanate (HDI) and toluene.   RELs are airborne concentrations of a chemical that are not anticipated to result in adverse non–cancer health effects for specified exposure durations in the general population, including sensitive subpopulations.
