In 2017 we sent an email to the Secretary of Cal EPA and the Director of the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) to ban glyphosate and Roundup since there was very strong evidence of the health harm that is caused in people from exposure to these items. At that time the executives decided not to ban these items in California. Since that time non-Hodgkins lymphoma has run rampant throughout America with over 125,000 estimated cancer cases caused by glyphosate and Roundup exposure. Lawsuits have had judgments in favor of the plaintiff and against Monsanto/Bayer to the point where the defendant offered to provide a settlement of $11 billion from which to pay claims.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Cal EPA should be investigated for conflicts of interest and for allowing a carcinogen (glyphosate) to cause a dangerous exposure in weed abatement and is in most of our agricultural food products. “Roundup/glyphosate should not be used in any area that could come in contact with water, soil, endangered species’ habitats, humans, or pets”. All legislators and government executives who have supported the use of products containing glyphosate must be investigated for conflicts of interest in promulgating a neurotoxin/carcinogen for use in weed control as well as in our food supply.
We have spoken with attorneys who have evidence that Monsanto knew that oundup/glyphosate causes cancer since 1981. We are not attorneys but with the knowledge that their product causes cancer they continued to sell their products. They also appear to be attempting to conceal the issue of cancer being associated with their products. This would appear to be unethical at the very least. They continue to attempt to remove labeling which shows any association with their products being cancer-causing. These business practices appear to violate the first, fifth and seventh points of the Nuremberg Code. However, is this entire issue of glyphosate and Roundup causing cancer part of a huge experiment which was started many years ago? If so, then perhaps the Nuremberg Code would apply? Since we do not have the expertise in this area we will forward this to the International Criminal Court (ICC). Perhaps the real answer may not be resolved in civil court but may be better resolved in other criminal venues.
We have many suggestions involving the changes to the OEEHA language involving glyphosate. However, we firmly believe that the general public must have available to them all information to make an informed decision on whether to use a dangerous, harmful product or not. Whether or not it causes cancer is not the issue in this instance. The real issue is that people must be given the ability to make an informed decision based on truthful information. In the case of labeling containers which contain glyphosate it should state clearly that the container has a product that may cause cancer and/or endocrine disruption.
We do not have all of our questions answered as yet but are seeking the assistance of sheriffs and other law enforcement agencies who have expertise in investigating matters where they are sworn to protect the health and safety of their citizenry. With over 125,000 Roundup/glyphosate cancer victims in America their assistance would certainly apply here.
As a member of the California State Sheriffs Association (CSSA) we request an investigation into this matter based on the 125,000 cancer victims in America and many millions of victims globally.
It appears that Bayer/Monsanto has violated the provisions of numerous legal codes under the general statutory law of California. These include but are not limited to the Health and Safety Code, Business and Professions Code and Sherman Food and Drug Act.
Should any sheriff need additional information we have 5 gb of electronic data which we can make available.
