Bisephenol A (BPA) is known to leak from plastic food and water containers. Even micro doses of ingested BPA can interfere with a person’s endocrine system which can cause adverse health effects, including increased risk of myocarditis and pericarditis. Additionally, extensive research demonstrates that an increased exposure to BPA leads to increased risk of developing certain cancers, mainly ovarian, breast, and prostate due to how BPA interacts with estrogen receptors and testosterone synthesis.
Please include BPA as a potentially cancer causing agent with prop 65 labeling requirements.
