The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is announcing the availability of a draft document for public review summarizing the noncancer reference exposure levels (RELs) for 1,4-Dichlorobenzene, as part of the Air Toxics Hot Spots program. OEHHA is also anouncing a comment period that will open November 29, 2024 and will close January 13, 2025.

The California Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment has selected N-methyl-N-formylhydrazine for the Carcinogen Identification Committee review for possible listing under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act. This notice announces a data call-in to solicit information from the public relevant to the assessment of its carcinogenicity. N-Methyl-N-formylhydrazine was selected from chemicals prioritized by the CIC.

Today, the California Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) issued a fish consumption advisory update for Lower Putah Creek and Lake Solano, which runs through Solano and Yolo counties, from Monticello Dam on Lake Berryessa to just west of Sacramento. The advisory provides safe-eating advice for Bigscale Logperch, black bass species, catfish species, Common Carp, crayfish species, Inland Silverside, Mosquitofish, Sacramento Blackfish, Sacramento Pikeminnow, Sacramento Sucker, sculpin species, and sunfish species.
