I hope to see glyphosate strictly limited, for the sake of pollinators as well as for human health risks. Glyphosate binds tightly to soil. It can persist in soil for up to 6 months depending on the climate and the type of soil it is in. Interactions need better study. From this study, for example, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4756530/ "Evidence has accumulated over the past two decades, especially, that several vertebrate pathways are likely targets of action, including hepatorenal damage, effects on nutrient balance through glyphosate chelating action and endocrine disruption. Other early assumptions about glyphosate, for example that it is not persistent in the environment, have also been called into question, depending upon soil type. In addition, the prediction that glyphosate would never be present widely in surface water, rainfall, or groundwater has also been shown to be inaccurate." Please strictly limit the use and fund deeper study into the effects of this chemical's (widespread) use!
