This advisory was further updated in August 2018 to remove advice for Clear Lake Hitch, which is currently listed as threatened under the California Endangered Species Act. Clear Lake Hitch are not permitted to be harvested.

The California Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) intends to modify the listing of alcoholic beverages as shown in the table below as known to the state to cause cancer under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65). This action is being taken pursuant to the “Labor Code” listing mechanism.

The meeting will be held in the Sierra Hearing Room at the CalEPA Headquarters building, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, California. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and will last until all business is conducted or until 5:00 p.m.
