OEHHA Presentation on a PBPK Model of Blood Lead and Worker Exposure
The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) developed a PBPK (physiologically based pharmacokinetic) model describing the relationship between airborne lead and blood levels in workers and released it in October 2013. The model was developed at the request of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and is being used to understand workplace exposures.
An error was found in "Table A-2: Estimate of fit of predicted to observed BLLs for 47 smelter workers," so in December 2014, an Errata sheet with the corrected table was added to document.
